The Recipe

  • 1.5–2 oz. Gin (I prefer Bombay Sapphire)
  • 8–12 oz. Tonic Water
  • 1/2 lime
  • Ice (lots of ice)

Use at least a 12 oz. glass filled with ice (see below for recommendations on ice). Add Gin, then fill the glass with Tonic Water. Stir gently. Enjoy.

The Gin and Tonic is the essence of chill. It’s an easy stroll of a drink; measured by eye, poured with a relaxed calm, and stirred briefly with whatever is handy. Make it for you and your situation, relax into the slowly-softening moment, and consider it perfect.
