I am CLOSE! I can feel it! I am ready to CLOSE the deal, about to CLOSE the door, CLOSE that process, maybe even finally CLOSE OUT some drafts. Ah, to be CLOSE to someone, nearby physically or maybe just emotionally CLOSE. We pay CLOSE attention, sit CLOSE by those we are CLOSE to, while we pose for CLOSE ups. If you miss something, it’s CLOSE but no cigar, and coffee is for CLOSERS.
CLOSE comes in so many forms, and so many possibilities. A CLOSE space, a CLOSE friend, CLOSED deal, even a CLOSET has its roots dug deeply into this word. It’s a good word, always available with it’s hard vowel start and soft ending. It’s a word that you can really wrap your vocal cords around if you need to shout something.
