Instead of doing the hard work of letting children explore and understand the world's differences, encouraging conversation, asking and answering questions, and actually trying to provide an education we are instead banning the tools of that education. Are we just too lazy for the work, or are we actually fearful that our children will grow up differently? I am again stunned by how we could do this in today's world. But here we are... thanks for bringing this up and keeping the conversation going. Maybe we can start a banned books library somewhere.
