The Experience
The Gold Rush is about effort. You get the sense that some work has gone into making this drink and sipping it gives you a sense of appreciation for the time, effort, and skill involved. While you’re drinking it, let yourself appreciate the depth of the ingredients. Feel the skill and artistry involved in crafting deeply flavorful bourbon, imagine the time it takes to create, harvest, and bring the sweet thickness of honey to your glass, and acknowledge that lemons don’t squeeze themselves. If you’re paying attention, you will get a sense of the bits and pieces of what it takes to artistically wield these flavors, and bring them skillfully into your glass.
You’re not traveling, so get that experience at home.
