Okay, Okay Wordle, I Hear You
Can a word game be SNIDE?
I’m trying to write every day based on Wordle as a prompt. There you go, you’re all caught up on my journey and if you don’t want today’s Wordle answer then you should not continue down this treacherous path.
A few days ago, Wordle gave me the command WRITE. Okay, okay Wordle I get you. I should be doing a better job. Admittedly, at that time I had missed publishing stories about OCEAN and PEACE, but I thought I was keeping a pretty good pace with CHOIR and VERVE which was a tough one.
And with school starting, I gave myself the excuse that I was writing lesson content and that should probably count. Wordle and I both knew that was bullshit, but I didn’t think Wordle was really paying attention.
But then today, I get AWAIT. Yikes, like a friggin’ wake up call. Wordle is waiting for my contribution and I had better not disappoint. I felt both ashamed of my lack of effort, but also elated that Wordle was paying attention and felt that my contribution was worth A WAIT (see what I did there).
And so, Wordle AWAITs my contribution for today. There is an OCEAN of possibilities, an ONION’s worth of layers to dig through, and PEACE in my heart now that I am back on my QUEST.
And with this, I have fulfilled my writing duty for today and I will work to do better tomorrow. Perhaps with a piece that actually has meaning outside of today’s puzzle answer.
