Thanks for bringing this up Toni. I'm a teacher and I see it. I see that the young women, children of immigrants, African American children, LGBTQ students and other marginalized groups are traumatized by the results of this election. What they hear is that half of the country does not value them as people and they're not wrong. I am doing my best to counsel, protect, help, and just create a safe space in my classroom. We will only get through the next four years by strengthening our communities and by not shying away from calling out this bad behavior. Hard to do when we elected the biggest most racist bully of all to the highest office. We, the adults, need to be strong even if it's hard. We need to be able to lean on each other and remember that we're not alone.
