The Original Recipe

If you want to know more, read on. If you’re just here for a recipe, here it is. Mix away, and Cheers.

  • 2 oz. white rum
  • 1 oz. of lime juice
  • 2 tsp. powdered sugar

Shake well with crushed ice. Strain into a chilled glass. Add a spoonful of crushed ice. Enjoy.

This is probably not the daiquiri you recognize, but that overly sweet, deliciously frothy, fruit-filled slush bomb owes its heritage to this more subtle, citrus-forward drink that was named after a mining town in Cuba.

Don’t worry, the fruity recipe is right here.

Strawberry Daiquiri Recipe

  • 2 oz. white rum
  • 2 oz. lime juice
  • 1 oz. filtered water
  • 1/2 cup fruit (you choose)
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 2 tsp. powdered sugar
  • Garnish — one slice of whatever fruit you’re using.

Blend all ingredients except rum in a blender until smooth and easy to sip. Add to shaker with rum and one or two ice cubes. Shake and serve.
